Do you have a wedding coming up? A baby or bridal shower? Want to make some side income? Or just want to jazz up your snail mail?
For what ever reason you came here I am glad you did. I have created lettering guides to help eager calligraphers, like yourself, with their short term goal, or their long term goal. Both require learning the letterform.
I break down the letterforms into simple strokes that you practice until you feel good about it. Just a curve, or a loop, or a line. Easy right? (I am all about baby steps, this way you feel proud and successful sooner) Then the strokes get closer together until they make letters, and the letters get closer until they make words, and you guessed it, the words get closer until you have sentences. This is the secret, really, to learning any new letter form.
Each letter gets its own page alphabet with the stroke break down and plenty of practice space, both guided and unguided. You decide how much guidance you need or want. The guide also include sheets of grouped letters. These are freshers and can be used for quick practice. A pangram at the end allows you to practice putting the letters together.
I call this particular style Cat. Like the animal, this style is long and lean, independent and carefree with a hint of elegance.
I use this style on envelopes, cards, notes, and signage where the customer wants a playful yet sophisticated aura.
